THROUGH MY LENS: GARDEN IN OCTOBER 2023

CHINESE LONG BEAN | Planted the seeds in the ground in the beginning of July.  After 90 days of growing and feeding with fish fertilizer, finally getting a bounty of long beans.  Great stir-fried with ground pork.

COSMOS | These orange beauties come back every year and are great for pollinator attractors.  Easy to grow like marigolds.

MEXICAN LIME | Producing small limes that I can't wait to harvest for Taco Tuesday dinners.

LUFFA | Who would have thought that this planet would grows gourds that turns into fibrous sponges that can be used as a dish sponge.  Just bleach it once a week to keep it sanitary.

THAI BASIL | This beautiful herb is a great add to pho noodle soup.  When it goes to flower, it produces beautiful purple flowers.   It's a wonderful pollinator attractor.

GARLIC CHIVES | We dehydrate this and food process into a powder to use as a condiment on savory dishes.  This plant is bunching in nature and is on its third year in my garden.  I will be dividing the plant in December so I can grow more of this feast.
